Hey guys, I just registered for 2012 event #1 at Bader Field, Im super excited to have it so local to me this year, Im definitely gonna try and run the full season with my Cobalt 2.2L. I registered for STF and Novice. If I understand correctly there is a PAX factor for STF (.794) and a seperate one for N. What is the Novice factor? Its applied in addition to the STF factor or are us newbies timed and scored completely seperately from the rest of the field?

Thanks,
Brad.

Running as a Novice will put you in a totally separate class bracket which Pax mixed with your raw time will determine where you will fall in the ranks with the others running in the Novice Class.

The pax isn't any softer for novices here, it's just a pax class to be away from the regulars.

Okay, so the PAX is the same, but Novices only technically race against each other?

Some extra information -- not all Regions offer a Novice Multiplier, or a Street Tire Multiplier that is applied to the regular PAX/RTP factor. For those Regions that do offer such a thing, most use .980 or .975 and the Novice factor is usually the same because those folks are usually on Street Tires.
