My fastest run of the day, 79.996 sec:

And the run which will haunt me until next season. I now realize how close and competitive these events can get - one little mistake can cost so much time :(.

How does the iPhone attach to that headrest mount? I've been looking for some sort of mount for my 4S.

Chris, this is what I bought to mount my phone: SnapMount Tripod Mount iPhone 4/4S. Not cheap but is very sturdy. I originally got an iPhone 4 tripod mount from eBay and it broke with a week because of its cheap plastic. Not to mention the sound from recorded videos was terrible.

In case you're interested, the headrest mount I'm using is this one. It allows cameras and accessories that use normal tripod mounts to be mounted to it. Again, not cheap - I'm sure you could piece something together for less.

Thanks. I have a Wood's Power Cleat car mount and a couple of cameras, but I'd rather just shoot the video with my phone so I can review and post it immediately. A combination of that clip and my Cleat mount would be pretty cool. Shame the snapmount is backordered. At least I have a few months to wait.

That's only half of the kit. The Owle Bubo also pictured is another $125. At that point, you are paying for a GoPro motorsports kit with the camera and mounts, which I would be more comfortable with hanging off the side of the car.

Just get a cheap ebay holder for now and save up for the GoPro HD Hero 2. It looks like it's a huge improvement over the HD Hero.
