I just competed in my first rallycross down in Orange, VA.
I know Philly region almost had one last year, any thoughts on finding a spot for South Jersey?
It was a blast. We broke the volvo fuel pump, so we ran a Miata with a hardtop and roll bar.

I just recently when to the Upstate NY Finger Lakes Region Rallycross.
Here is my youtube clip.
I'll be going there again on August 25th. And I will try to go to the Virginia rallycross sometime in Sept.
As for the Philly Region, its been over half a year already an no rallycross so far. This is the reason I started looking else where. I know the drive for me is about 5-6 hours, but for the fun of rallyx i have no problems driving.
Let me know if anyone is interested in driving up to NY. August 25th.

I really want to find a nice long stretch of gravel to practice rallying. I found a half a mile stretch next to my house and its fun flying through it at 50 MPH. I tinted my 4 fog lights yellow so its mad cool driving at night.

So is anyone, I mean anyone in NJ interested in finding a place, farm etc to set up a rallyx event. I went to VT on DEC 1 for Wolfe Chase rallyx, it was cold fun and rock solid ground. I'll have some video of me but here is my site for Suzuki motorsports check out my buddies SX4 video.
So if we can find one down south NJ or North anywhere would be nice.

I would like to see if we could hold one. We need to look into what is required. I know that we will at least need a site, some organizers, a course designer and a safety steward. The hard part is finding a site, do you have any idea what the requirements are? Do you know where we could find such a place?

I guess we need google maps satellite view of NJ and its Farms Open area etc. Then organize a meet to travel to these places and speak with owners. I can get SCCA information packet from a buddy of mine at the PhillySCCA site who can help us with this as well. I'd like to have something set up for Feb, March.
Here is a nice sandy gravel place. But I remember going there and it was closed off I guess this is for when it snows or something they get the sand from. Looks large enough and in central NJ.

Place.JPGFrom looking at your picture it looked as though there is a race track there. It is Wall Township Speedway. The large sandy areas look like they are a quarry or something. There is equipment and stuf that looks like it is an active site in the Virtual Earth photos. It is hard to tell how much the elevation changes from the photos as well.
Come on out to the meeting Wednesday night. We meet at the Elephant and Castle in Cherry Hill. We start about 8, but come early and eat and hang out.

There is going to be a two day event at Stanford, CT at the end of January. Anyone interested in going? I'll probably be there as its the closest rallyx for me. Only 3.5 hours. I'll post up some more info as it becomes available.

That's a long haul for me, so no towing. Let me see what I can work out. Maybe IF there are no close trees I will drive the WRX up.

I already registered for this event. Staying there overnight. Looking to share a room with someone. Let me know if anyone wants to drive up there. From central NJ its a 3 1/2 hour ride. From Delaware probably add +1 which isn't bad. The course is smooth, so there will be no car damage.
