Running without a muffler in a stock class? Check the rules. Regardless, we can't afford to offend the locals and lose the site. Noise is what causes most of the problems at race venues just ask the people a Raceway Park in Englishtown.

He knows the rules very very well, Stock is allowed the following mods:
Air Filter
Any wheel of stock size and offset
any DOT legal tire (including R-Comps)
any cat-back exhaust setup that exits out the side or behind the driver
Any front sway bar
almost any shocks
If he doesn't think its too loud then it probably isn't, he has been doing this a long time, and honestly a 924s will be quieter with his exhaust than a lot of the Mustangs we get.... Heck it will likely be quieter than my S2000 and that thing passes sound regs at philly events (Header, High flow cat, 2.5in exhaust piping with just a resonator and a dump after the rear axle

I understand what you are saying....fact is.. it is not that load at all. If I didnt tell you the muffler was gone you might think it was modified or still there. And the tail pipe exits out the back behind the rear bumper and looks stock. There will be many cars there a lot louder than this one.

Read rule 3.5 "adequate mufflers are required for all solo events"..... It won't be our group deciding how noisy our events are it will be our neighbors , the police or the landlord. What doesn't bother you might cost us our lot.

The cat converter is still on the car .It is not like I am running open headers. like I said there are cars there making a lot more noise than I will. My 911 with a flow master is louder then this. I could put a resonater on it ...would do nothing but look like a muffler. There are a couple of Miata's running in Phily-Nnjr that are way loud IE:sho torrey...another is that national champ in his honda.
Adequate muffl ers are required for Solo events. The criterion of “adequacy”
is not what the exhaust system consists of, but the sound level.Any car deemed by the Event Chairman or his designated representative
to be excessively loud shall not compete without acceptable modifi
cations installed on the car.
If the powers that be deam my car to loud I will leave!!

Sorry John if you though I was missing the point and I was about keeping noise level down not about rules...Planning on putting a flow master or something on it this week.

As co-chair with a horrendously loud car, I can't really say much of anything about noise without being a complete hypocrite unless it is somehow louder than my 300 horsepower catless straight through mufflered exhaust. The local businesses and police have been completely fine with the noise level thus far so I think you're fine here Rob unless we have blood pouring out of our ears this coming Sunday
