I went to the national convention

I spent most of the time working on the RoadRallyBoard business, so much of what I saw was RoadRally specific. Some of the news is that the two rule changes about combining classes and keeping the 10 event max were accepted by the BoD so they are now in effect. The seminars we held went over very well and much fun was had at the RoadRally Jeopardy game. The RRB conference call has been moved to Monday nights, so our board meeting can be moved back to Wednesdays.

I attended the "how to start a rallycross" seminar and I have all the information for anyone to see and share. Hopefully someone can volunteer to get this going as I don't have the extra time.

I also went to the Street Survival Program and learned all I could about it. This could be a great way for us to give back to the community as a service. If we can help one teen driver avoid an accident it would be worthwhile to look into. It should also help out with just general goodwill toward the club and out activities. Although most events have more income than expense there is a program through the SCCA Foundation where they will cover up to $500 (50% of the first $1000) of losses, and they request 1/3 of anything the region receives above expenses. They have had only two regions take them up on the offer and both sent them money in return. I wonder if NJMP would be interested in joining in this as well. A little good PR toward the citizens of Millville, and South Jersey might really help them out in the long run.

Oh, there were these two showgirls at the welcome reception Thursday night.
