BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

South Jersey Region-Sports Car Club of America, Inc.

June 2010

The June 2010 meeting of the Board of Directors for the South Jersey Region of the Sports Car Club of America, Inc. was held at the home of Sue King on Wednesday evening, June 2, 2010. The meeting was called to order by R.E., Jim Tornetta at 8:15 PM.

Present were: Mike Allenbaugh, Bob Childress, Jim Tornetta, Sue King, Meg Meyer, Jim Wakemen, Brian Heun and J.D. King. Guests were: Chris Houliaras and Terry Hanushek.

Membership - reported that we have 380 members to date.

Treasury - No report.

Rally - Jim Wakemen reported that he had received a letter from National about Technical Services - a department at National that we have no idea what their purpose is and the letter apparently did not elaborate on. The next event is in August.

Solo - Chris reported that at the May 23rd event there were 40 entrants who each got nine runs and the event was finished by 3PM. Jim reported that the Solo truck is close to being refurbished and should be ready soon. The next event is June 27th.

Old Business - J.D. reported that we have a 134 entrants between the National and Pro IT groups to date. The 12 hour entries are coming in and we have 28 to date. We are a little light in the Steward department so Sue will put out a mailing to the NEDiv Stewards. Discussion centered on our newest acquisition - the lightning monitor - which will be tested at our National and Pro IT event this coming weekend.

New Business -Sue reported on the VSCCA weekend and that the vintage group was so pleased with our volunteer efforts in flagging, communications and timing & scoring that they sent the club a check for $500.00 to be used at our discretion. Sue stated that she was approached by Peter Gates who campaigns a VS2 (vintage sports 2000) and asked if we could make a class for this group and, if so, he would be able to have approximately 12 cars come to our July and August events. Sue further stated that she had spoken to Terry about this. Terry reported that he had spoken to Peter Gates and that his group would be able to run with the wings & things race group - there doesn't seem to be any problem with licensing and/or membership. Jim Tornetta thanked all those members who participated in the vintage endeavor. J.D. suggested that, if they are not already members, that the vintage members should be recruited to be SJR members. J.D. received a payment direction letter from NJMP which he handed over to Brian for his legal opinion. Brian will need details, make the necessary contacts and get back to the BOD. Discussion followed.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Sue King
